This document describes how to animate a program from within a Net Express project. The objectives for this session are as follows.

1. Select the Program to Animate
2. Start the Animation or Debugging Process
3. Step through the Source Code Line-by-Line

Once the Net Express project has been created and the source members and copy files have been added to the project it is very simple to compile the programs (Micro Focus uses the term "Rebuild" within Net Express).

The following shows the simple process for starting the Animation from within a Net Express project.

1. In the left-pane use the right-mouse-button and click on the program to be animated. In this example it will be the "ItKeKaC1.int" member.
2. From the drop-down list select the "Animate" option.

The following window should be displayed.

1. Make sure the Executable Program name is correct.
2. Click on the "OK" button.

The following window should be displayed.

1. Clicking on this icon will step through the source code one line at a time.
2. Clicking on the icon will run through the paragraph identified by the perform statement and stop at the next statement after the perform statement.
3. Clicking on the icon will finish executing the paragraph that is being performed.
4. Clcking on this icon will run the program through to end-of-job.

The purpose of this document is to show how to animate programs from within a Net Express project.
