This document contains the COBOL source code that does a partial record-by-record comparison of two VSAM key-sequenced-Data-Sets (KSDS's). The positions within the records to be compared are determined at execution time by reading a third control file. This approach has the advantage of changing the positions for the compare by changing the control file at execution time. However, it has the disadvantage of requiring an additional set of parameters at execution time.

The COBOL source code was generated to comply with the COBOL/390 dialect. It may be compiled and executed on an IBM Mainframe System with ZOS or VSE. It may be compiled and executed on a Linux, UNIX or Windows System with Micro Focus.

Note: The COBOL Source code was generated using SimoTime Technologies. The generation program (UTCOMPRT) must be executed on a Windows System with Micro Focus.

The positions within the records to be compared are determined at execution time by reading a third control file.
